In the Midst

This powerful teaching invites us into a deeper understanding of God's will for our lives, both universal and deeply personal. At the heart of this message is Romans 12:1-2, which calls us to be living sacrifices, transformed by the renewing of our minds so we can test and approve God's good, pleasing, and perfect will. We're challenged to see our relationship with God not as a series of work assignments, but as an intimate connection where He delights in our unique design, interests, and giftings. The beautiful story of Rick, Kathy, and the Bible on the rock illustrates how God orchestrates details in our lives with intentional love. We learn that being a 'positioned believer' means actively seeking God's will rather than passively waiting for it, understanding that He created us with specific purposes, talents, and even joys that align with His plan. The teaching emphasizes four foundational aspects of God's general will: believing and trusting in Jesus, being joyful and thankful in all circumstances, submitting to doing good, and abstaining from sexual sin. When we live within these boundaries, we find freedom to pursue the unique calling God has placed on our hearts. This isn't about religious obligation but about experiencing the joy of walking closely with our Heavenly Father who knows us intimately and desires good things for us.
